In The Tomb by Andrea Ketelaars

The Gospels do not provide a great deal of detail regarding what happened to the body of Jesus when it was taken to the tomb.   At least four persons (Joseph of Arimathaea, Nicodemus, Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary) were at the tomb before Pilate ordered the tomb to be sealed and a watch set.

The Shroud of Turin has images both front and back, of a crucified man crowned with thorns, whipped, and speared in the side.   Scientists have found no conclusive evidence as to how the images were produced.   There is documentary evidence of the shroud existing in France in the 1360s and some circumstantial evidence tracing it back to Palestine at the time of Jesus.   A number of Roman Catholics around the world venerate it as the shroud of Jesus.
